Boutique SME Private Credit Fund Manager

Our Story

Rixon Capital is the Investment Manager of the Rixon Income Fund and the Rixon Credit Opportunities Fund (the “Funds”).

Our Funds focus on delivering institutional, non-dilutionary funding solutions to high quality borrowers seeking loans of $1m – $20m.

This lending segment is typically too small for large funds that seek to deploy large minimum cheques.

The players that do offer debt funding in this niche tend to seek options and warrants to access equity upside.

This permits us to deliver investors a market leading risk-reward proposition by delivering a higher return via a scarcity premium rather than a risk premium.

Our experienced investment team has executed over $500m in secured, high yield SME private credit lends since 2018, and over $10 billion in public & private market M&A.

Our decision making is enhanced by the presence of an independent Investment Committee comprising senior commercial and investment bankers with deep experience in debt and corporate finance. Unanimous Investment Committee support is required for any loan to progress to settlement.

In addition, Rixon Capital is focused on establishing market best practice in the Australian private credit fund industry.

The Funds are administered by a third-party trustee, and Fund documentation explicitly requires the distribution of all loan economics (including loan establishment fees) to investors. Investors received detailed monthly reporting disclosing all underlying loans, and an update on pipeline, portfolio performance, and returns guidance.

As a boutique investment manager run by an investment team comprising employee-shareholders, Rixon Capital is aligned with its investors.
